User Resources
In this last section of resources, I wanted to share resources from individuals who had shared their previous experience on becoming homeowners and are still willing to offer help. I have grouped them according to their media format.
1. Videos
Lots and lots of videos with advice for first time buyers. Here is my selection (click on the videos, links or titles to be redirected):

How to buy a home
It is a less than 4 min. interview, Gerri Willis, author of 'Home Rich' and Fox Financial correspondent, offers quick tips to first home buyers. |

First Time Homebuyers
Interesting statistical data about first time home buyers from the Keller Williams Realty YouTube Channel. This video belongs to a longer collection and the authors usually post weekly videos. |

Renting vs. Buying
The first question you should ask yourself is answered here in two very good videos from Khan Academy. Some of the assumptions are questionable, but the author has a clear point: buying is not for everyone. |
2. Blogs
Quite a few blogs too, but in my humble opinion, most of them are not reliable enough. My advice to you is to subscribe to Pamela Douglas Webster's Hands On Home Buyer blog and follow her reliable, regularly post, and good information and advices:

Reliable information posted regularly.

3. Twitter
The number of Twitter users self-labeled as real state specialists is impressive, but I would say over 75% of their tweets are not about real state news. From the myriad of tweeters, the three more involved with news about first-time home buying are (notice the last one is the same author from the blog I mentioned):
@firsthomeguy
@HomeBuyerHelp
@handsonHB

4. Social bookmarking
Diigo and Del.icio.us are my favorite libraries for social bookmarking. Unfortunately, I have not found further valuable sources. Nevertheless, it is always good to to keep an eye on what other people can recommend through these services.
